Finding a New Number

• The best source for new numbers is the online University Directory. The new printed directory, distributed in January, does not contain the new telephone numbers.
• You may call the campus operator at 784-1110 (41110 on campus).

University Online Directory

The online University Directory is the best source for the most current contact information, including the new phone numbers. There are two parts to the online directory:

• Employee Search - For individual faculty and staff, search here. The data source for this directory is the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). You may update your own contact information (phone number, email address, on-campus address) through the Employee Self Service (ESS) system. To change your name, department, or title, you must contact the Human Resources office.
• Departmental Search - For information about colleges, departments, and programs, search here. Send updates for the departmental directory to directory@unr.edu.

University Printed Directory

A new printed University directory will be distributed in early January 2007. Due to contractual guidelines, this free, advertiser-sponsored directory, went to press prior to the availability of the new phone numbers and thus the new numbers are not included. However, the main telephone number for most departments did not change. The new printed directory will be helpful in looking up department names, fax numbers, mail stops, and locations. You can also link to a list of staff by department. Send updates for the next edition of the printed directory to directory@unr.edu.

External Directories

Most numbers in the SBC/AT&T telephone directory are still accurate. Most departmental numbers have not changed. The major exception is the 850 numbers for the Redfield campus.

Some departments have chosen to have their phone numbers listed in the local telephone directories. These listings are coordinated by the telephone services group. This will continue to be available. An announcement will be sent when it is time to update the directories.
