Ad Astra (Campus Scheduling)
The University's Scheduling Department uses Ad Astra to schedule events in campus facilities (rooms and grounds). This new web-based client allows users to view the schedule and submit a request for a room.
Currently, a new client is being tested, so it is unavailable for use.
View the Schedule
Allows you to select a date or date range and view all events, classes, and/or exams scheduled in rooms on campus. (Check boxes allow you to choose events, classes, or exams.) You can also select to view as a list, weekly or monthly calendar, or as a daily or weekly room grid.
Request an Event
Allows you to fill in an electronic form with all your event's details (e.g., event name, expected attendance, event type, privacy level, customer (department), and requirements for A/V, parking, custodial, tables, etc.).
Tips for Using Ad Astra
- Ad Astra is best viewed with a screen resolution set to at least 1280 x 1040 pixels. Be aware that changing your screen resolution will impact all of your screens.
- The Scheduling Office schedules classrooms, including "Smart Classrooms." (Smart Classrooms are classrooms with additional A/V equipment that are designed and maintained by Teaching and Learning Technologies.)
- You are able to view the courses and ad hoc activities that have been scheduled into these rooms in the Daily or Weekly Room Grids and to see what times these rooms are not occupied. The rooms in red are NOT AVAILABLE for scheduling.
- Before you submit your request, view the Daily or Weekly Schedule to see what room or rooms are available.
- Exterior sites are found within the room drop-down menu under EXT.
- Exterior site requests use the same form as room requests.
- For scheduling on the day of the event or within 24 hours, do not use Ad Astra. Instead, call the Scheduling Office at 784-6837.
- If you can't see the date or dates you want on the Calendar while in the Request Form, minimize the form. The Calendar is under the form and can now be seen.
