Aron Smetana joined the Information Technology Division in August 2003. He began as the Manager of Systems Administrators and was later promoted to the position of Director, Campus Computing. Prior to joining the University of Nevada, Reno, Aron worked in the private sector for manufacturing and distribution firms in San Francisco and Sacramento. He received his MBA from San Francisco State University in November 2001 and BA in English-Linguistics from the University of Montana in 1992. Aron comes from a family of academics, including his father, who is a professor in Montana, and a research-oriented brother at Harvard. In his leisure time, Aron enjoys motorcycling, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, and all things electronic. |
