If you would like to offer personalized telephone labels on the NEC phones used by the people in your department or college, DESI Plus software is now available – free of charge – for download.

Template sheets for the NEC phones can be purchased by sending an IPO by fax to 48259, and then sending the original IPO to Laura Christie at MS 322. 

Packets of the sheets cost about $13 for a package of 25.  There is a different style for each type of telephone. Please specify which type of phones (8, 16, or 32-button phone) are used in your department.

How to Install DESI Plus Software

1. Go to http://www.it.unr.edu/desi
2. Enter your UNR NetID username and password and will you see a zip file.
3. Click on “Desi Software Download” and click Open.
4. Double-click on “SETUP.EXE” and then click Run.
5. Select “Install the DESI Labeling System” (as shown below).

6. A software installation wizard guides you through the installation process, as shown below.

7. Click Next to go through the screens and accept the terms of the licensing agreement.
8. At the Desi Labeling System Setup screen, enter the 10-digit product key and click Next. (Note: The product key is downloaded with the software in a text file called "key.txt")

9. The software automatically installs in C:\Program Files\DESI unless you Browse to a different location.
10. When you have agreed to this location or browsed to another, click Next. The files are installed in less than a minute.
11. Click Finish.
12. You can now open the DESI Plus Labeling System to use on your department phones. You will be asked to open the “readme” file first.
13. You will have to reboot your computer before using DESI Plus.
