Just a reminder that you can learn the new Office 2007 products by watching some professional training videos from Lynda.com. These videos are available free of charge on the IT web site.
Learn the ins-and-outs of using the 2007 versions of Outlook, Excel, and Word. This is currently the best and easiest way to learn Outlook 2007, since no campus workshops are currently scheduled for this software. However, both Excel 2007 and Word 2007 are also being taught in live workshops sponsored by Professional Development and Training (see link below).
So take advantage of the Outlook 2007 video, in particular, which is provided to all faculty, staff, and students on the campus. All 3 Office 2007 videos are available with your UNR Net ID. In addition, IT also has training videos for the new Microsoft Vista operating system and Contribute CS3 for non-web designers to make updates to an existing website.
Details of the Outlook 2007 Video
The online training in Outlook 2007 is divided into small, easily viewable chunks, so you can fit it into your busy day. For example, in Getting Started, you can watch a 2-minute video called "Learning about the Ribbon" or, in Email Essentials, watch "Reviewing Attachments" for 3:45 minutes.
