UNR iPhone 3G Procedures

Apple will be releasing the new iPhone 3G this Friday July 11th .
If you are planning to acquire a new iPhone for business purposes on a UNR account or to synchronize it to the UNR Exchange server, please contact UNR cell phone support at 682-5047. UNR cell phone support will need to assist you with your purchase and setup information, as the local Apple Store will not be able to set up for business accounts and local AT&T stores do not know which UNR business account to assign to your new phone.
Below is from Apple with our additional verbiage in parenthesis:

Business customers.
Current and new iPhone users who now receive or will receive service under a corporate account and wish to purchase iPhone 3G need to contact (UNR cell phone support) AT&T directly. Also, if you want your iPhone to access your business email account, check with your IT manager first.

A UNR iPhone user must have a data and a voice plan. Please e-mail cellphonesupport@unr.edu or call 682-5047 for further information.
