Setting Up Out-of-Office on Entourage
The current version of Entourage 2004 does NOT have a specific out-of-office or vacation feature. You can accomplish the same thing by one of two methods:
Creating an Entourage Rule for Out-of-Office Reply
WARNING: Once you have created a rule, it works ONLY if you have set up a schedule to send and receive mail continuously. In order to receive mail continuously, you must have your computer on and your Internet connection active while you are away.
- From the Tools menu, select Rules; the Rules dialog box displays:

- Click Mail (Exchange) (above) and + New. The Edit Rule dialog box displays:

- In the Rule name text box, type a name for the rule, e.g., Out of Office.
- OPTIONAL:
- In the If section, use the All messages pull-down list to select those who will receive your automatic reply.
- In the Then section, from the Action pull-down list, select Reply
and click REPLY TEXT...
The Reply Text dialog box displays:

- Type your Out-of-Office message in the text box and click OK.
- Click OK.
- Close the Rules dialog box.
- To disable your out-of-office message:
- From the Tools menu, select Rules. The Rules dialog box displays.
- Select Mail (Exchange).
- From the list of Rules, select the rule you created for your out-of-office reply and uncheck it.
NOTE: A checkmark appears in the box when the rule is enabled.
