Forwarding Your Fallon Email

Email sent to accounts on the Fallon email server may be forwarded to another University or non-University email address. Incoming email is immediately redirected to the target email address.

Please follow these instructions to set up email forwarding on the Fallon server. For email addresses ending in @unr.nevada.edu, @scsr.nevada.edu or scs.unr.edu

To forward Fallon email to another address

  1. From an Internet-connected machine, start an Internet browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator)
  2. Go to https://swami.scsr.nevada.edu.
  3. Login using your email account username (portion of your email address to the left of the @-sign) and password.
  4. Click Account Records.
  5. Click Modify Mail Settings.
  6. Select Set Forwarding Address: and note current status of the Forward Utility.
    • Off:
      • To turn on: enter the email address where you would like to read your email.
      • Click Submit.
    • On:
      • You may send your email to a different forwarding address by entering it in the box;
      • OR turn the Forward Utility Off
      • Click Submit
  7. Logout of SWAMI

To remove a forward (email remains on the Fallon server)

  1. From an Internet-connected machine, start an Internet browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator)
  2. Go to https://swami.scsr.nevada.edu.
  3. Login using your email account username (portion of your email address to the left of the @-sign) and password
  4. Click Account Records.
  5. Click Modify Mail Settings.
  6. Select Set Forwarding Address:. Status should indicate Forward is ON.
    • You may send your email to a different forwarding address by entering it into the box
    • OR turn the Forward Utility Off
    • Click Submit.
  7. Logout of SWAMI.
