Email Options Comparison

Three email systems are available on campus:

  • Exchange (Faculty & Staff): Exchange is the primary email system for faculty and staff at the University of Nevada, Reno.
    • For best results, use Outlook (PC) or Entourage (Mac), which offer such collaborative features as calendar sharing, meeting requests, and public folders
    • However, Exchange DOES NOT require Outlook or Entourage, but can use ANY secure IMAP-configured email client. Contact the Help Desk to enable IMAP on your Exchange account.
  • Twilight (Faculty & Staff/Graduate Students): Twilight is a UNIX-based email server.
    • Wolfmail is used to access Twilight email
  • Fallon (Students): Fallon is the primary email system for undergraduate and graduate students.  It is maintained by System Computing Services (SCS), run by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).
