Outlook 2003 Out of Office Assistant

For email addresses ending in @unr.edu that use Outlook 2003 as the email client.

To turn the Out of Office Assistant ON or OFF

  1. Open Outlook 2003.
  2. On the toolbar at the top of the screen, click Tools.
  3. Click Out of Office Assistant
  4. Turn on or off:
    1. To turn on:
      • Select I am currently Out of the Office
      • Write an appropriate vacation message in the top text box.
      • Click Yes at the prompt.
    2. To turn off:
      • Upon your return from vacation (when you first open Outlook), you are prompted to turn off Out of Office Assistant.
      • Click Yes at the prompt.
