Webmail Addressbook
The Webmail Addressbook resides on the Fallon server and is accessible from any Internet-connected machine.
- To access the Addressbook, click the Addressbook icon on one of the toolbars (top or bottom of window)
- On first entry, the following Directory Search screen displays.
- Select Options (at top right) to change the default characteristics of the Webmail addressbook.
- Column Options -
- Choose My Addressbook from the Please Select a Directory drop-down menu
- Default contents of a Webmail addressbook include a name and and email address.
- You may add columns from the lower panel.
- To add a column, select a column name from the Available Columns box and click the icon of a hand pointing to the right
- (Note: This step must be completed before importing detailed address books from other applications)
- Click Save Options when leaving screen
- Default Display - Select one of the following options:
- Addressbook Listing - traditional listing of all available contacts
- Search - screen shown above
- Click Save Options when leaving screen
- Browse
- Edit A Contact:
- Click the name field for that contact.
- This brings up the Edit screen.
- Click Edit at the top or bottom panel to add/change any fields.
- All fields may not be visible from the Browse window but are stored for later use.
- Delete A Contact:
- Click on the name field for that contact.
- From the Edit screen, select Delete.
- At the present time there is no method for deleting multiple addressbook records.
- Send An Email to A Contact:
- Click on the email address for an individual contact.
- A new message displays in the Compose window with the address information already in the header.
- Other functions available from the Addressbook window:
- Browse - Addressbook display window
- Add - Blank contact dialog displays
- Search - Searches fields visible in Browse window
- Advanced Search - Searches all fields in full Addressbook record (visible or not)
- Import/Export - Transfers information from one email client to another.(Note: Import is additive. It creates duplicate records, rather than overwriting them.)
