
Faculty/Staff/Institutional Computers
The University of Nevada, Reno, has negotiated special volume discounts with Dell and Apple computer companies. Purchase of equipment from the preferred companies will expedite troubleshooting and repair because UNR IT certified technicians on staff. The table below provides descriptions of recommended machines.

The University has an integrated phone system. To add a phone or make any changes to existing services, review telephone billing or request a conference call, proceed to the Phones section of this website.
University-owned and Personal Cell Phones
As part of the integrated phone system, the University has negotiated special discounted offers for departmental and personal cell phones. Smart cell phones available through the program may be linked to the campus Exchange email system to provide comprehensive support.
For personal purchases, the Computer Den in the ASUN Bookstore, is the University's licensed reseller for computer hardware and software. They have negotiated special educational discounts with vendors.
Personal cell phones for Faculty and Staff members with special discounted plans and discounted accessories are also available. Check the UNR AT&T Premier site for details on the program.
A wide array of specialized technology is available for checkout from the Multimedia Center in the Knowledge Center. The Library provides a list of available items.
The Information Technology Division, Desktop Support Services and the Help Desk DO NOT provide hardware repair services on personally owned computers. Warranty and non-warranty service is available from Desktop Support Services for University-owned equipment manufactured by Dell, Lenovo (IBM), or Apple products.
