Getting Started for Faculty and Staff

Three basic components are needed to access and use the UNR computing system. 

  1. UNR NetID
    New Faculty and Staff members should insure that all hiring paperwork is completed by departmental staff and submitted to UNR Human Resources (HR) in a timely way.  Access to resources is based on the employee's job type in the HR database. 
  2. UNR Email
    UNR provides secure email to all University employees.  Many options are available for office, home and mobile connections.
  3. Method of Connection (on- or off-campus and mobile wireless)

Once the basic components have been established, UNR IT provides a number of other computer-related services to the faculty and staff.
