Activate Your NetID

You must activate your NetID before using it.  Activation is a one-time process, as long as you are continuously enrolled/employed at the university.  (However, if you take a semester off and come back, you must reactivate your NetID.)

  • Submit your R-number (student) or employee number (faculty and staff) and birth year and month (YYMM) to begin the activation sequence. R-number lookup is available through ePAWS.
    • R-number Example: R0000000001
    • Employee Number Example: E123456999
    • Birth Date Example (mm/dd/yyyy): 01/08/1980 (for January 8, 1980)
  • All NetID accounts are governed by the Computing and Network Use Agreement.
