Internet Browser Policy

Policy:

This policy defines the Internet browser software that provide the best consistency for viewing the University's Web sites.

    • Microsoft Windows running Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
    • Mac OS X running Safari 1.0 or higher
    • Mac OS 8.1 to 9.x running Internet Explorer 5.1.6 or higher

All browsers meeting these standards should be kept up-to-date using online software updates.

    • MS Windows users via Windows Update
      http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
    • Mac OS (all versions) via Mac Software Update
      • Mac OS X System Preferences/Software Update
      • Mac OS 9 and below Apple Menu/Control Panels/Software Update

This policy is designed to provide consistency and best viewing of materials on the University's Web site.
