IT is made up of six major areas:

Computing & Telecommunications

  Computing & Telecommunications provides ongoing support to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Nevada, Reno in the areas of computing, software applications, and voice communications. They provide software development, applications support and data warehousing for departments and colleges. Their goal is to assist departments and colleges in automating any administrative or academic process that can benefit from automation and thereby improve IT services. They also provide network services and server support and management. They are responsible for core IT systems and services, including email, network security, NetID authentication, and IT communications, including the administration of this web site.

Network Security

Teaching & Learning Technologies

  The Network Security group oversees network security for the campus, wireless, and Residence Hall networks at the University of Nevada, Reno. In addition, they provide the centralized NetID authentication, anti-virus management, and best-practices methodology for the campus.   TLT supports the instructional activities of the campus through media production and instructional technology. They support interactive and collaborative learning and teaching models; provide multimedia services; and offer consultation, design, and production services to the campus.

Knowledge Center

University Libraries

  This site provides news, updates, photos, and videos of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center, which is currently under construction on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. The Knowledge Center will be one of the most technologically advanced libraries in the country.

  The University Libraries web site provides links to its many and varied resources, including books, articles, and subject information. Find out about the many specialized libraries on campus, Link +, Interlibrary Loan, and much more!

KUNR Public Radio (88.7)

  A National Public Radio affiliate, KUNR provides news and classical/jazz music to northern Nevada and northeastern California. On this site, you can find a program guide, news and features, an events calendar, and more.
