Mac OS X and above:
Click the blue Apple icon (upper left corner of screen).
Select
System Preferences

Select the
Network Panel
from the section labeled
Internet & Network
.
Click the blue arrows to the right of the box labeled
Location:
.
Select
New Location
.
Enter
ResHall
. Click
OK
.
Click the blue arrows to the right of the box labeled
Show:
.
Select
Built-in Ethernet
.
On the
TCP/IP
tab.
Click the blue arrows to the right of the box labeled
Configure
:
Select
Using DHCP
.
Click
Apply Now
.
Close the
Preferences
window.
Mac OS 9.x and below:
Click the rainbow Apple icon (upper left corner of screen)
Select
Control Panels
.
Select
TCP/IP
and a d ialog box displays.
From the dialog box
Configure
category, select
Using DHCP
.
From the dialog box find the
DHCP Client ID
box and type your Fallon login name.
Close the TCP/IP dialog box and
Save
your settings.
From the MAC main menu, select
Special
,
Restart
, to restart the computer.
To start a connection (any OS):
Start your browser.
Log on using your
NetID
username and password.
