Antivirus Protection for Faculty, Staff and Student Personal Computers

Since June 30, 2010, UNR IT will no longer license Symantec anti-virus software for use on personally-owned computers.  This licensing decision affects faculty, staff and students at UNR. 

UNR IT recommends you take time now to switch to powerful, free anti-virus softwares offered at the following sites:

*Important:  Remove Symantec (or any other installed antivirus software) from your machine before installing the software below to avoid licensing and software conflicts.

Antivirus software is STRONGLY advised.

Another powerful and highly rated freeware, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, identifies and removes malicious software from your computer.  It often identifies problems other antivirus/antimalware programs miss
