SharePoint 2010 Migration Completed

The migration of the UNR SharePoint 2007 sites (formerly on https://portal.unr.edu/ ...) to SharePoint 2010 (new server is https://sharepoint.unr.edu/ ...) has been completed.

All 100+ 2007 sites have been migrated to the new 2010 server.  All site owners have been contacted with migration information and the URL of their new site.  As an aid, sites on the old server will have a link to the newly created SharePoint 2010 site. 

Training on how to use SharePoint 2010 is available at the homepage of the new server (https://sharepoint.unr.edu).

• An introductory video titled Making the switch from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010” provides basic guidelines to the new, improved interface.  
• A collection of over 400+ training videos available from the link "Collection of SharePoint 2010 free training videos" on the same home page.  
• In addition, there are a number of training tutorials about SharePoint 2010 and other softwares available at lynda.com. Access to the tutorials are available to faculty, staff and students but do require UNR NetID authentication.  Click on the lynda.com icon in the lower left corner of this page to begin authentication.
