The University provides Symantec® AntiVirus software for personal computers at no cost to students.
General access computer labs are open to all currently affiliated University of Nevada students. Entry to these labs requires a University ID with current validation sticker and a NetID to authenticate on the lab computers.
All students are assigned a University email account on Fallon when they register at the University of Nevada, Reno. Official University correspondence is sent to these accounts. The accounts are also used for personal email, file storage, and personal web pages.
Many online resources are available to students through the University Libraries, including the full text of many articles and books. You may use these resources without restriction from any computer on the Campus Network. View instructions on off-campus access to licensed library services.
All new students are encouraged to immediately activate their preassigned NetID authentication account for access to many electronic services.
